New Year's Resolutions: How do you keep them?

res·o·lu·tion

[rez-uh-loo-shuhn] --noun

1. a resolve or determination: to make a firm resolution to do something.

2. the act of resolving or determining upon an action or course of action, method, procedure, etc.

We all make them!

And most of us have been making new year's resolutions since our teens through our twenties and into thirties! Some of us have been making the same resolutions year after year! How we do embrace 2011 as the year when we resolve to stick to our goals (dreams) and achieve them and take it to the next level!

While writing it is probable that many of us have started writing down our resolutions. But prior to making them shall we consider some 5 questions:

1) HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH A RESOLUTION?
2) WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE RESOLUTION IS MADE?
3) HOW TO MAINTAIN THE RESOLUTION MOMENTUM PAST JANUARY?
4) DEVELOPING A SUPPORT SYSTEM TO MEET THIS RESOLUTIONS?
5) HOW DO YOU TURN RESOLUTIONS INTO ACTION?

Ladies please share some confessions on the above questions! We can all benefit from your insight!

LET US TAKE 2011 BY THE HORNS AND TURN THE noun resolution into an active resolution AND DETERMINE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The Confessions of 30-something

Introducing...

The Confessions of 30-something... isn't that a fantastic title for something fun and amazing... Oh, we are going too fast, let's go slow. We have something fantastic in mind...

So, why another blog? You might ask.

We want to start another blog because we think it would be fabulous for women coming of age – the thirties and there about – who love blogging to get together online and share secrets about everything related to life. As we move towards-through-and over our 30s, there are different aspect about life that come up: love relationships, motherhood, children, family life, health, beauty, friends, sex, money and many more things that we don’t necessarily want to share with everyone in real life but which we don’t mind talking and sharing online. The Confessions of 30s (TC30s), which we hope will turn into a website, is a platform for women to talk about their life experiences including some difficult issues such as conceiving and the ‘shame’ that one feels with it!

As we were writing this this blog entry, Lisa Ling’s website Secrets Society of Women came to mind. Her mission is to have a platform dedicated to women who need to speak about issues that sometimes are unspeakable in real life! On the blogsphere we want to be able build the a similar platform. Anothe inspiration for this new venture is Oprah. From 1st January she's broadcasting her biggest challenge ever since she started Oprah Winfrey Show. OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) is a simple and proof that anything can happen if you believe in your dreams strong enough.

Life is about experimenting with new thoughts, ideas and experiences and for us there is so much still to experience. Some of us have watched their 20somethings gone by without realising their dreams - but that doesn't matter because now we have to think about how great and better we can make our 30s and above. Like the number shows, everything comes in the perfect number 3. Therefore we hope together we can embrace our 30somethings with arms wide open and make the most of it so that in years to come we can say we can confess 30-something!

We are very inspired by Oprah and Lisa, it's symbolic to launch The Confessions of 30-something as a community from
January 1st. We are novice on the blogsphere but we have the passion and enthusiasm to inspire others. We aim to focus on the greater things we can achieve in our daily lives, individually and collectively! We hope this blog will allow us to meet various other bloggers and engage in conversations that will not only enable us to grow but to develop into our better selves as we move through our fabulous 30s!

The idea is just developing right now so we are open to suggestions, ideas and new inspiration! Feel free to connect with us so that we can begin to Confess and share our lives with one another. Let us start dreaming big from the 1st of January 2011 with long term vision to build and grow into something amazing!

We would love our fellow bloggers to begin this venture with us! If you are about creeping away from your 20s and into your 30s and even passed it....and interested in this new venture send us an email to confessions30@gmail.com CONFESSIONS30[at]GMAIL.COM
