Twenties or Thirties?!

When should you have a child? In your twenties or thirties? What are the pros and cons? Confess ladies, what are your thoughts about this?

I personally think that having a child(ren) in your late twenties, early 30's is best. I had my first at 28 and I'll be having my 2nd at 30. I have my degree, got to live life and party like crazy, and once I met the man of my dreams (my hubby) I just knew I was done with everything else. But to each their own. Having kids later in life works too. There are just a few more complications and risks, but it usually works out.

I agree with the age as stated above. I party hard before getting married and decided to have my degree before trying for a baby and I am happy in my current position 29 years old for my first baby.

Hi dropping in from WOB Wednesday to say hello.

Not sure if I should weigh in since I don't have a bambino. I don't know if it should be your chronologically age that's the driving factor (but a real factor all the same); I think it's when you are at that sweet spot where your finances, emotional and physical needs align and you have capacity to raise a decent human being.

I think it's different for different folks. If I could re-plan my life, I would have started in my late 20's but things just fell the way they did. I had all three of my kids by time I was 28. And I am happy with that. They will be grown and out of the house while I am still young enough to live it up!
